Backstreet Boys Take Part on iHeart Living Room Concert by Elton John

A popular boy band in the 1990s Backstreet Boys held a mini concert via video chat with the song I Want it That Way. This concert aims to entertain all people who do self-isolation, to prevent transmission of the Corona virus (Covid-19).

Reported through Variety, the show was part of the iHeart Living Room Concert, a music event in the United States, held on Sunday night by Elton John to provide entertainment and support for those who help fight the global health crisis.

This recorded video features the performances of Richardson’s children, who joined him to play drums and guitar. Carter also brought his son to make a joke at the end when he sang by the pool. The vocal group from Orlando, USA entertained fans by bringing hits, including, Everybody (Backstreet’s Back), Show Me The Meaning of Being Lonely, As Long As You Love Me and I Want It That Way, Don’t Go Breaking My Heart and closed with Larger Than Life.

After the concert ended, all band members uploaded photos to their respective social media and wrote, “We are honored to be part of this extraordinary event,” as quoted by Variety, Tuesday, March 31, 2020.

The one-hour performance also featured live performances by musicians such as Alicia Keys, Billie Eilish, Billie Joe Armstrong, Camila Cabello and Shawn Mendes, Mariah Carey, Sam Smith and Dave Grohl who performed virtually from their respective homes.

Donations collected during the event will be distributed to Feeding America and the First Responders Children’s Foundation. Both of these organizations are helping families affected by the corona virus pandemic.
