7 Best Rock Band Lifetime

Rock is arguably drowned, after its heyday in the 1980s. However, that does not mean it does not exist. There are at least 7 of the world’s best rock groups in 2019.

The 7 best rock bands are those who release great songs and albums that are able to influence their listeners. Some of them have been nominated and even won a Grammy.

  1. Imagine Dragons

Imagine Dragons is an American pop rock band from Las Vegas, Nevada, consisting of Reynolds (vocalist), Wayne Sermon (guitarist), Ben McKee (bassist), and Daniel Platzman (drummer).

The band first gained popularity after releasing the single “It ‘s Time”, followed by their award – winning debut studio album Night Visions (2012), which produced the singles “Radioactive” and “Demons”.

After the Evolve Tour finished, Imagine Dragons released their fourth studio album on November 9, 2018. “Natural” and “Zero” were released as the first single from the album.

Imagine Dragons has won three American Music Awards, nine Billboard Music Awards, one Grammy Award, one MTV Video Music Award and one World Music Award. The band has sold 12 million albums and 35 million singles worldwide.

  1. Greta Van Fleet

Greta Van Fleet is an American rock band from Frankenmuth, Michigan, formed in 2012. They consist of Josh Kiszka (vocalist), Jake Kiszka (guitarist), Sam Kiszka (bassist), and Danny Wagner (drummer).

They entered Lava Records in March 2017. A month later the band released their debut studio EP, Black Smoke Rising. The single “Highway Tune” successfully topped the Billboard US Mainstream Rock and Active Rock charts in September 2017 for four consecutive weeks.

Their debut full length studio album, Anthem of the Peaceful Army, was released on October 19, 2018 and topped the Billboard Rock Album charts in the first week after release. The album’s first single, “When the Curtain Falls” which was first introduced in July 2018, eventually became the number one single for the third US band on the Billboard Mainstream Rock charts.

In December 2018, the band was nominated for four Grammy Awards, including Best New Artist, Best Rock Performance for “Highway Tune”, Best Rock Song for “Black Smoke Rising” and Best Rock Album for From the Fires.

  1. Panic! At The Disco

Panic! at the Disco also became a successful American rock band from Las Vegas, Nevada. The group was formed in 2004 by childhood friends Brendon Urie, Ryan Ross, Spencer Smith and Brent Wilson.

His debut studio album, A Fever You Can’t Sweat Out (2005) was quite successful. Popular with the single, “I Write Sins Not Tragedies” and festive double platinum in the US.

On March 21, 2018, the band released two new songs “Say Amen (Saturday Night)” and “(Fuck A) Silver Lining.” At the same time, the band also announced a new album titled Pray for the Wicked. In 2019, its personnel only left Brendon Urie. However, it has succeeded in rousing the American Music Awards, being nominated for a Grammy Award and the MTV Europe Music Awards.

PVRIS is an American rock band from Lowell, Massachusetts formed by Lynn Gunn, Alex Babinski, and Brian MacDonald. They released their debut album, White Noise in November 2014, and deluxe version of White delise on April 22, 2016.

5. Twenty One Pilots

Twenty One Pilots is an American music duo from Columbus, Ohio. The band was formed in 2009 by vocalist Tyler Joseph along with Nick Thomas and Chris Salih who left in 2011.

The duo achieved success with their fourth album, Blurryface (2015) which produced the singles “Stressed Out” and “Ride”.

On July 11, 2018, the band released two new songs, “Jumpsuit” and “Nico and the Niners”, as well as a music video for “Jumpsuit”. They also made the announcement of their fifth studio album, Trench, released on October 5, 2018, and a new world tour, titled “The Bandito Tour”, began October 16, 2018.

Twenty One Pilots has won a Grammy Award for Best Pop Duo / Group Appearance.

Mumford & Sons is a British band formed in 2007. The band consists of Marcus Mumford, Ben Lovett, Winston Marshall and Ted Dwane.

Mumford & Sons has won a number of music awards throughout their careers, with Sigh No More getting the 2011 Best British Album award, a Mercury Prize nomination and six Grammy Award nominations.

Fall Out Boy is an American rock band formed in Wilmette, Illinois, a suburb of Chicago, in 2001. The band consists of rhythm vocalist and guitarist Patrick Stump, bassist Pete Wentz, guitarist Joe Trohman, and guitarist Andy Troley.

Fall Out Boy’s sixth studio album, American Beauty / American Psycho (2015) peaked at number one on the Billboard 200, and spawned the top-10 hit “Centuries” and the single “Uma Thurman” which reached No. 22 on the Billboard Hot 100. In 2018, Fall Out Boy received their second Grammy nomination for Best Rock Album for Mania.
